Cosy Cavies is run by Martha Fardoe, more commonly known as Violet. I am 16 years old and my birthday is the 2nd september! Cosy Cavies was my registered stud name in April 2005. I started off with around 20 cavies, but the number soon grew. My first pair of purebred were Liquorish and Cookie, Black Himalayans from Pete Wardman. My first purebred litter was born on the 27th February 2006. From then on, the Himalayan bug continuted to take a hold of me, and to this day i have around 15-20 of them, number still growing.
As well as the Black Himalayans, there are the Chocolate Dalmatians. Anyone that knows me well knows i absolutely love Dals, so these spotty piggies were definatly in my destiny! I only have 1 showable pig, but they dont have to be showable to be beautiful in this variety. I chose chocolate becuase i adore the chocolate colour, and if i was to pick one self colour it would have been chocolate, and the dals gave me a chance to own a few.
I am also up to a challenge, and i am working my guts out into trying to develop Lilac Tri-Coloured Dalmatians. I have the stock to get started, but the breeding is going slowly after encountering a few hiccups. Hopefully you will see them go alot further soon. Along with this hard task is the smaller task of satin himalayans, yes MORE himalayans!! These havnt got very far yet, but i am waiting to stumble on the correct stock.
